As an intern at Thought Café I worked on Shopify's WTF Stories series where the episode highlights successful companies that use Shopify and how the company worked through an issue that could have ruined their business. Through this series it was important to do each individual story justice and to show the hardships each business owner had to go through to get where they are today. My primary role was to illustrate scenes along with a team of animators and illustrators.

BRAND GUIDELINES

We utilized Shopify's brand guidelines and fonts within our illustrations. As we continued with the series we were given more liberty to play around with different shades of the brand colours.

Through this project I learned that as an illustrator there are always things within the document that can make for easier transitioning between people. For example, creating more in-between scenes for objects opening/ closing and ensuring that every layer is labelled.
